• Kayla Meyertons is a Houston-based therapist specializing in borderline personality disorder (BPD), mood disorders, trauma, and addiction treatment for adults in Texas.

Hi, I’m Kayla

I’m a Houston-based therapist with specialties in treating borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction issues. Clients arrive to my office without the tools, language, or support to distinguish themselves from their symptoms.

I work to give you those tools.

I utilize an approach based in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic therapy to help clients reduce symptoms and develop a stronger, more integrated sense of self.

Together we build practical skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness while also exploring patterns, meanings, and relational histories that shape your experience. My goal is to help you move beyond diagnostic labels to live with greater clarity, connection, and purpose.

I’m based in the Houston area and hold an independent license to practice clinical social work in Texas. When I’m not working with clients, I oil paint, read and write fiction, walk my rambunctious German Shepherd, and stay involved in the local recovery community.
